I came from Cubao and passed thru the EDSA Greenhills area to go to Pinaglabanan in San Juan. As soon as I reached home, Edmund forwarded a photo of a burning building.
And even my brother in law living in the US also sent me a photo of the same burning building.
Edmund’s friends also sent photos worried that the fire was near Ford EDSA.
Our employees kept calling him in panic. Electricity to the surrounding areas had been cut-off for safety reasons. Namalat daw sya sa kasisigaw na don’t panic, malayo sa atin yun. I told him better to alert them and be prepared in case the fire gets out of hand.

I sent two guys to the site to assess how far the building was to our office. Sgt. Pepper said 11. Actually mali, exaggerated yung 11.  When he told me the dozens of fire trucks surrounded the burning building, I heaved a sigh of relief.

The billowing smoke and orange color were really menacing. Nakakanerbyos talaga. I couldn’t imaging the panic of those in the neighboring buildings.

Thank you Lord, napatay agad yung sunog at hindi kumalat at walang nasaktan.   Kudos goes to the many fire brigade volunteers who spent their time, own money, and risked their safety to help put out the fire.
